Podcasting Equipment
Podcasting is one of those things that can get lost in the mountain of equipment choices available out there. You can start a podcast for free with no worries, or drop $10k on equipment before you even record. This table is an attempt to sort through the myriad of choices available. We have broken it down into three columns, Individual or own cost, a middle of the road, and big spender or sponsored list. This saves you bandwidth, and most of the prices in the above hosting services will depend on how much bandwidth you need. Some have a limit on Uploading (the size of your podcast), others on downloads (how many people listen). Go with an Unlimited download and limited upload. That will save you $$. |

Most hosting services will have a guide. They all go like this: 1. Make a podcast. 2. Upload to host. 3. Burn the feed to make it public (feedburner by google is free). Go to iTunes and apply. |
